How long does a hand-painted reproduction take?
Usually five to six weeks from order to door: three to four weeks to paint, a photo of the finished painting for you to approve, then 4 to 10 working days of shipping to most countries. Remote destinations can take up to 20 working days.
Why it takes weeks
Nothing is waiting on a shelf. The painting is started after you order, on blank canvas, and oil paint dries slowly, so each layer needs time before the next goes on. Size and detail decide where it falls in the three to four week range.
What happens, in order
- You order. For a painting from your own photo, you agree the price first and pay nothing until you do.
- It is painted. Three to four weeks, by hand, in oil on canvas.
- You approve it. We send you a photo of the finished painting. Approve it, or ask for changes, which are made before it ships.
- It ships. Free and tracked, 4 to 10 working days to most countries.
- Customs, if any. Where a country charges import tax, you pay it to the courier on delivery. It is not added at checkout.
Ordering for a date
For a birthday, a wedding or Christmas, count back about seven weeks. That leaves room for the approval photo and for any change you ask for.
Too late for that? A gift card arrives by email straight away, and the person who gets it chooses their painting, or sends their own photo, whenever they like. Gift cards
