Terms of sale

These terms apply to every order placed on oneartsource.com. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you order.

Who you are buying from

Paintings on this site are sold by OneArtSource.

What you are buying

Every painting is a hand-painted oil reproduction of a work whose copyright has expired. It is painted after you order it, on canvas, by a person with a brush. It is a reproduction, sold openly as one. It is never presented as the original and never signed as the original artist.

Because each painting is made by hand, brushwork and small details will differ from the original and from our product images. Colours on screen also vary from one device to another. Sizes are the painted area of the canvas and may vary slightly.

Finishes and sizes

  • Rolled paintings are shipped in a protective tube, ready for a local framer.
  • Stretched paintings arrive on wooden bars, ready to hang.
  • Framed paintings arrive in the frame you chose, ready to hang.

Stretched and framed paintings are available up to 60 × 90 cm (24 × 36 in). Larger paintings are shipped rolled.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and include the painting in the size and finish you choose, and delivery. They do not include any import duty or tax your country may charge on arrival. Payment is taken in full when you place the order.

Your order

Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation by email. We may decline an order, for example if a requested work is still in copyright or a photograph is not good enough to paint from. If we do, you are refunded in full.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel free of charge within 24 hours of placing your order. After that, work has started on your painting. You can still return it within 90 days of delivery, and this does not affect your legal rights.

Customers in the EU and UK

You have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. Our 90-day return includes this right and goes further. To cancel, email us or use the form below. We refund within 14 days of getting the painting back, or proof that you sent it. Return postage is yours unless the painting is damaged or not what you ordered.

Making and approval

Painting starts after you order and usually takes 3 to 4 weeks, including drying. Before it ships we send you a photo of the finished painting and hold it until you reply. If something is not right, tell us and we work on it until it is. Each round of changes adds a few days. Please reply within 2 days so your order stays on schedule. If we have not heard from you, we send a reminder after 2 days, and on day 3 we call or message you on every contact you gave us. On day 5 we send a last notice, and on day 7 the painting ships as shown. If you ask for changes, the clock starts again with the new photo.

Delivery

Delivery is free worldwide and tracked. Once shipped, most paintings arrive in 4 to 10 working days, and some destinations can take up to 20 working days. If your painting will ship later than we said, we tell you, and you can cancel for a full refund. If a tracked parcel is more than 14 days late and cannot be found, we paint and send a new one at no cost, or refund you in full, your choice. Any import duty or tax charged by your country is paid to the courier on delivery. Please open the parcel on the day it arrives.

Damage in transit

If a painting arrives damaged, contact us with photos of the outer box, the whole painting, close-ups of the damage and the shipping label. Please tell us within 48 hours if you can. It helps us claim from the courier and does not affect your legal rights. We send a new painting or give a full refund. You keep the damaged one, there is nothing to send back.

Returns

You have 90 days from delivery to return a painting, as set out on our returns page. If you change your mind, the return postage is yours, and the painting must come back in the condition it arrived.

Limited lifetime warranty

Our limited lifetime warranty covers the original buyer for as long as they own the painting, against faults in the materials or the making. It does not cover accidents, sunlight, damp, heat, cleaning or ordinary wear. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Commissions

For a painting that is not in our catalogue, or one painted from your own photograph, we quote the price first and nothing is charged until you agree. Once you agree, you pay in full and the painter starts. By sending a photograph you confirm that you have the right to have it painted.

Our responsibility

If we fail to meet these terms, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of that failure, up to the price you paid for the order. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the consumer law of the country where you live. If you live in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of your local consumer law and can bring a claim in your local courts. Paintings sold to EU and UK customers also carry the legal guarantee of conformity, on top of our warranty.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this page on the day you placed it.
