The hand behind it
Antonio Muñoz Degrain
Antonio Muñoz Degrain was a Spanish painter of landscapes and literary and historical scenes, known for intense, sometimes unusual colour. He began in the academic style and moved towards a freer, brighter manner, with vivid skies and glowing light. He was born in Valencia in 1840. He decorated the ceiling of the Teatro Cervantes in Málaga in 1870 and taught at the Málaga academy for many years. In 1884 he won first prize at the National Exhibition with The Lovers of Teruel, a tragic love story that is now in the Museo del Prado. He later became professor of landscape and then director at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid. He gave many of his works to the museum in Valencia. His paintings for us include Cervantes in Algiers and views of the Alcazaba of Málaga. In the landscapes, look at the saturated colour. He died in Málaga in 1924.

Questions
How is the finish priced?
The price you see is the painting at the size you chose, in the finish you chose, and it updates as you change either. Rolled arrives in a protective tube, ready for local framing. Stretched arrives on wooden bars, ready to hang. Framed arrives in its frame, ready to hang. Stretched and framed go up to 60 × 90 cm (24 × 36 in); larger paintings travel rolled.
How long does it take?
Painting begins after you order and takes 3 to 4 weeks, including drying and the photo you approve. Delivery then takes 4 to 10 working days to most countries. More on delivery times.
Will it look exactly like the original?
It is painted by a person, so no. Brushwork varies between copies, which is the difference between a painting and a poster.
What if I do not like it?
Ninety days from delivery, full refund.
