The hand behind it
Bonifacio Veronese
Bonifacio Veronese painted the relaxed, colourful world of Venetian Renaissance art: holy families in open landscapes, elegant figures in rich silks, and crowded biblical feasts set among Venetian villas. His colour is warm and bright, and his scenes feel sociable, closer to daily life than to grand drama. Born Bonifacio de’ Pitati in Verona in 1487, he moved to Venice with his family around 1505 and trained under Palma Vecchio. He ran a large, busy workshop that turned out everything from small devotional panels to big public commissions, above all a long series for the Palazzo dei Camerlenghi by the Rialto, which took two decades. His early work drew on Giorgione and Titian, later with touches of Raphael, and he influenced the young Tintoretto. His Dives and Lazarus (1540), in the Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice, sets the parable at a lavish Venetian party. He died in 1553. He should not be confused with the younger Paolo Veronese.

Questions
How is the finish priced?
The price you see is the painting at the size you chose, in the finish you chose, and it updates as you change either. Rolled arrives in a protective tube, ready for local framing. Stretched arrives on wooden bars, ready to hang. Framed arrives in its frame, ready to hang. Stretched and framed go up to 60 × 90 cm (24 × 36 in); larger paintings travel rolled.
How long does it take?
Painting begins after you order and takes 3 to 4 weeks, including drying and the photo you approve. Delivery then takes 4 to 10 working days to most countries. More on delivery times.
Will it look exactly like the original?
It is painted by a person, so no. Brushwork varies between copies, which is the difference between a painting and a poster.
What if I do not like it?
Ninety days from delivery, full refund.
