About the museum
German Romanticism is a highlight, with Caspar David Friedrich's The Monk by the Sea and The Abbey in the Oakwood shown as a pair. Arnold Böcklin's Isle of the Dead and Adolph Menzel's The Iron Rolling Mill show two very different sides of the century. French painting is represented by Manet's In the Conservatory.
OneArtSource is not connected to the Alte Nationalgalerie. We paint reproductions of public domain works in its collection.
