About the museum
The Wittelsbach rulers of Bavaria built the collection over centuries. Albrecht Dürer's Self-Portrait of 1500 and his Four Apostles are among its best known works, along with Albrecht Altdorfer's The Battle of Alexander at Issus. Leonardo da Vinci's Madonna of the Carnation and Boucher's portrait of Madame de Pompadour are also here, and the museum has one of the largest collections of paintings by Rubens.
OneArtSource is not connected to the Alte Pinakothek. We paint reproductions of public domain works in its collection.
