About the museum
The gallery is especially strong in painting from northern Italy. Mantegna's Lamentation of Christ, seen from the feet in steep foreshortening, is one of its best known works. Raphael's The Marriage of the Virgin, Piero della Francesca's Brera Madonna and Caravaggio's Supper at Emmaus follow. From the 19th century, Francesco Hayez's The Kiss is a favourite with visitors.
OneArtSource is not connected to the Pinacoteca di Brera. We paint reproductions of public domain works in its collection.
